depends on what you mean by "hook them up" I'm sure they can be used in the same room together, but things like computers will probably need to be duplicated. I'm not exactly sure what setup you would be using, bluetooth should be able to distinguish between two identical devices within range.

The devices all have a unique ID for BT and ANT+. I'm not aware of any programs though that will take input from more than one at a time, but I've never had reason to ask before. On Zwift you can use 2 computers or one computer and a phone and still ride together since your partners avatar will appear. Just select distinctive kits so you can recognize each other. There are ways to find each other too and just start wherever the other rider is. I haven't tried it myself though. Maybe if my wife joins me I can give it a try, although I only have one smart trainer, the other is an older Fluid 2.

"hook up" is such an obsolete term. You don't hook up anything. It all just connects.
