Cateye Velo 05

I am trying to install the Velo 05 computer. I'm trying to figure out were on the fork the sensor can be attached and still be within 5 mm from the magnet. The outside of the fork is too far away, it appear the side of the fork is also still too far away. I can not install on the inside of the fork because it then hits the magnet as it goes by. Am I out of luck? I really don't think it should be this complicated. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

OK, so as I am sitting here staring at my bike, I found a position on the back side of the fork, on the edge towards the inside of the fork. It appears to work, I just hope the sensor stays put and does not slide to the inside of the fork, or I'm gonna break something.

Slide it higher so it doesn't hit the magnet.

In case you're wondering, it doesn't matter at all how far away from the hub you put the magnet and sensor. The only thing it's counting is wheel revolutions. Provided you found a way to make them pass close enough to each other, you could put them as far out as the wheel rim itself and you'll still get the same speed readings.

Bikes: Too darn many.. latest count is 11

Should really put the sensor on the front side of the fork...in the event it comes loose it's less likely to get dragged into the spokes.
