Front Light Oddity
Yesterday I purchased a Cygolite Metro 300 and installed it on my bike next to my computer. This morning I rode my first two miles on the MUP so I had the intensity set at medium on my light and everything was fine. When I got to the main road I switched to Steady + Pulse which is the maximum intensity and my computer quit working until I switched it to pulse mode only. This light puts out 3.5 watts at the maximum setting. Has anyone else had a problem with their light preventing their wireless computer from working?

It's a known issue with some light/computer combinations. I haven't seen it in practice with the one light/wireless computer combo I've ever run, but I have no doubt it's real. These days I prefer the little wire anyway, and have yet to hear any claims of interference with one of those.

Yes. The power regulation circuitry in the light creates radio interference which can interfere with bike computers, particularly old tech wireless computers. Computers that use digital ANT+ sensors are immune to the interference.

Thanks for the comments. I moved the light as far away from the computer as I could. I'm going to try it in the morning and see if it still prevents the computer from working.
