My internet trash filter that mentally ignores the idiotic drama seems to be working perfectly. I have no idea who the OP is or what the issue was. Simply avoiding the distractions is all that's required to help to make Bikeforums a better place.

He can want his account deleted or closed, whatever, but it ain't happening unless he gets another banning or suspension. IB doesn't just close or delete accounts as a rule, been this way for as long as the place has been around. The very few exceptions were not open for discussion, and they were quite a while ago. If you want to leave, then leave, plenty of folks have done just that over the years.

Ah, if only traffic enforcement were more heavy handed and nanny, then more bad motorists will give up driving and get into self-driving cars.

You got me to look, to see if it is true. (No spoilers!)

This one I like, too:

the mods and admins here aim to entertain with our ban reports. I was going to ban Cavendish for sticking his head where it didn't belong, but I got voted down.

We don't delete accounts, this forum is just a great big database, and that sort of thing makes for instability.

I was also looking at the banned users link above. What is a "sock puppet?" Is it a user having two or more accounts on BF? I'm also following the TdF and get the humor that @TimothyH mentioned above. I'm in the camp that the penalty for Sagan was too harsh (elbow never touched Cavendish!). I think both mde an error. Sagan didn't hold his line and Cavendish got boxed in and tried to enter a space too close to the barriers.

yes, a sock is someone that registers multiple times. Sometimes it's just to troll without getting their main account in trouble, sometimes it's because they got banned and can't stay away.

I know exactly how the op feels.

I no longer post in the Beach Cruiser forum because of the heavy handed Mods.

Well, to tell the truth I never contributed as I don't live near the beach,, but the principle is the same, and the Mods probably would have been autocratic.
