Bilenky Cycle Works = Philly, not in a ‘-burgh’. Since the 80’s, I think.

As an old man*,
if I was spending that kinda bucks,
and had another decent road bike,
that bike would be an e-bike.

Off topic but maybe some can relate. I play golf 5 days a week with other retirees. One of our regulars stopped joining us around the time COVID started so we didn’t think too much about it. I was looking at obituaries yesterday trying to find one for a church member. As I was searching I stumbled across his obituary. No details on what caused his death but it was very surprising and sad. We plan to do a few things to recognize his memory but I guess it’s a reflection of our age group???

jppe Were dealing with this in our church parish, it’s unnerving to happen on the obits, or read of a parishioner’s passing. Found that a few of my university professors and school friends had passed away from Covid-19, also.

My stem is about as high as I feel confident on a 1” carbon steerer tube. The integrated stem & bar might be lighter and sexier, but it reduces one’s flexibility to make adjustments. Like the extended seat tube w/ shorty saddle clamp = I pass on proprietary component ‘solutions’.

Glad to ride…….
…on a cool & dry Winter day.
hehehehe
i’m not too vain to wear my age
on my chest (and back).
the closest horse stable property got bought by a non-profit feline rescue organization. So I’m standing close to my neighborhood cat house. [sounded funnier the first time].

Also lots of wooden fences around - I like.

edit: yes,… those brake levers are in the Open position - to stay.
hehehehe

You appear to have put much love and time into this perfect, classic bike. That’s a fancy saddle. Thanks for letting us see the bike! I like your 70+ shirt too (I’m 75). Nice that wooden fences don’t scratch the paint.

Titanium paint = tough to weld but delivers an unblemished ride.

Where did you get the jersey? Now that I have crossed the line (into the 70s) I really want one!

Oregon Cyclewear - highest quality & best prices on merino wool cycling jerseys
Custom embroidery thru their vendor.
edit: Link corrected = oregoncyclewear NOT oregoncycleware

Trolling members is not encouraged on the forums (
).However, in this case, they should make an exception.

Additionally, check with your optometrist.

Throw up a pic when you can. Titanium is a good thing for longevity in SW FL (Naples?)

Bikes: 2 Bikes both silver
Titanium looks as good as when I bought it 20 years ago as a new frameset, I just wipe it down every few rides. At one time I had 14 bikes on the road, had an accident and couldn't ride and sold all except this titanium just in case I got back at it. I thought it would be the most durable and keep it's looks, glad I did. A few years ago I used a stainless steel polish used for restaurant equipment and it looked shiny, even better but really doesn't need it. I am in the Fort Myers, Bonita Springs area and will throw up a pic next time I have it out
