Sort of lost track today- a lot of short hops, and some localized running around.
I think about 8 miles, but that is probably a bit on the low side. I try to stay conservative with the mileage estimates. As usual, with the make busy stuff, again no photo's... -D.S. |

Great evening for a night ride. Just got back and am enjoying a cup of tea. :thumb: About 20 miles tonight of leisurely pedaling. |
A 4:19am early start today for a short 15.51 mile recovery after yesterday's 58 miles.

Wednesday's 37 mile destination ride to the Simply Natural Creamery for ice cream. A perfect cool & overcast morning made for a great ride. The newest welcoming calf Bertha was there to say hi & scratch my chin will 'ya

I was able to get out this morning, the late at 8:45 AM for a 24.3 mile ride. I rode the bike path and got off for a bit here and there.I did see a car on a short portion of the bike path. I guess the driver was confused. Also, I helped a guy who was trying to put air into his tires on the bike stand on the rail trail. The air pump wasn’t working and I let him use my air pump. At least his tires won’t slip out from under him as he had mentioned they were. Anyway, a very pleasant

24 miles today in 3 hr. 15 min. :D
Kind of hard to estimate speed from that alone- Kept stopping here and there for pix and coffee. https://i.imgur.com/8h4Qs9a.jpg Wellington Crescent just past the Kenaston rail under pass. Great day for it at about 68 F. https://i.imgur.com/Tp1GacX.jpg Canada Geese ignoring me in Assiniboine Park. https://i.imgur.com/xO8wlFf.jpg More of the same with the Leaf multi purpose structure in the back-ground. https://i.imgur.com/Y3enswW.jpg Finally got to ride in here in the Assiniboine forest. There's a lot of Seneca Root and Sage growing wild in here. Beautiful scent. Not quite the right bike for the single track stuff. Trail is about 6" wide, with a lot of roots and the occasional limestone rock. Grannied her down to 6th, and pole footed through 2 really rough rutted spots. This is something I had been meaning to do for a very long time. That particular track is about a mile and quarter. https://i.imgur.com/vuAnqDY.jpg Next time I'm in there, it'll be on the MTB. I was doing quite a bit of over-correcting with the skinny wheels. The drops are a little bit narrow for quick corrected control. I am pleased with myself, and even more impressed with the improvements made to the bike. -D.S. |

First ride in October. Been really busy at work, makes it tough to get rides in during the week. 18 miles, basically up to downtown and back in a big loop.

The weather for today's club breakfast ride was great. 31 miles

Did just 15 this morning, didn’t seem to have enough energy level to do much more. I could have pushed it but it seems right now that becomes a point of diminishing returns. My plan next week is to get back to 25+/- a couple of times, weather and life permitting. Hope you all enjoy the weekend.

I got out this morning at about 9 am. I waited for the rain to pass and then left the house. I thought the bike path would be busier as today is Saturday. And I am working on my attitude about sharing the bike path with the oblivious. Anyway, I got a 25.4 mile ride in as I decided to add a stop in at the CVS. So a good bike ride for Saturday.

I woke up at ass-crack thirty yesterday morning to ride the two hours (20 miles, 2800') up to Evergreen for an 8:00 breakfast. I enjoyed the quiet pre-dawn time, and then watching sunrise from up in the foothills. I heard an elk bugling, then encountered the commercial bison herd at Genesee, and then some mule deer in the trail near Chief Hosa Campground:
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...4c1bb8c0ce.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...a111789e85.jpg Then last night we cycled a few miles into downtown Golden to see a play. We cycled home at ten pm. No wildlife on that ride, other than a few college students out having fun. Today I'm riding to the non-profit bike shop to help another volunteer build out his new Canyon frame. The bike he bought a few years ago cracked at the rear dropout. We need to press in the old headset and bottom bracket bearings, reroute the internal cabling including hydraulic brake lines, and bleed brakes. |
Yes. 25 miles.

Got in 13 miles this morning.
Wish I had some pretty photos to add to the thread, but the only thing I saw of interest was about a 5 foot long rat snake sunning itself at the edge of the road. I stopped and kinda scooted him off into the woods so he wouldn't get run over. |
