15+ miles on a SEARCH FOR PIE!!! Cloudy, high 60 F's, probably rain this afternoon, still even in just short sleeves and shorts it felt GOOD! :)

kr32 09-17-11 05:03 PM

34 miles and no pie, unless a pizza pie I had for dinner counts?

Cool out and looked like it could rain the whole time but none, just some wind.

Got in about 35 miles with my summer riding friend. He has a 20 mile run tomorrow, we rode fast anyway.

triggerracing 09-17-11 05:11 PM

25 hard miles on the MUP. Actually saw a couple of other bicycles today. Totally wasted after ride, glad I've got two days before i ride again, need some rest I think.

sarals 09-17-11 05:14 PM

45 good miles with two fast friends! They pushed little me to keep up, and I did - a POB for me - avg 16MPH over the distance.

I finished the 7 day Cycle Oregon ride today for a week total of 435 miles. The ride was in western Oregon and included a day of riding along the Oregon Coast. Friday's ride was 80 miles and 5000 feet of climbing in the first 38 miles (then we lost every bit of it :-)) The ride ranged from 52 to 90 miles a day. Big fun!

Did the Richmond bike club's Heart of Virginia ride:

Did 100 miles in exactly 6 hours. Man I suck sometimes. A nearly completely flat ride, no wind, and I still have trouble going under six hours...

teachme 09-18-11 10:08 AM

35 miles this morning. Got caught in a thunderstorm for the last 10 or 12 miles.

garydogwood 09-18-11 11:13 AM

25.3 miles. planned to do 30 but was kind of too windy so i just came on home after 25. maybe tomorrow.

48 miles and 59° when I left at 8:30 am, put on arm warmers and knee warmers for first time, well arm yesterday, and a base layer under short sleeve jersey.
It was a little chilly and I soon remembered that winter is coming and I am not a big fan of cold weather riding. Oh yeah had a light glove on too.
It was a nice ride though and I had no plan when I left and just turned here and turned there and then figured it all out.

I am getting closer to monthly goal.

Gosh Jim, I'm sorry that I missed you. I rode the century too. I started right at 7 so maybe that was before you started. I also rode the historic route today and it was wetter than yesterday. A good event but a bit dreary this weekend.

Did either 18.10 or 20 easy going miles with my husband (my computer said 18.10, his said 20 miles) on this beautiful Sunday.

no. Back injury. Kicking cans for now. Any Tips on how to heal?

wphamilton 09-18-11 05:32 PM

I didn't feel like the roads and took to the MUP but 15 miles was all I could take and had to get off it. For some reason, everyone wanted to be out today and most of them didn't really know how to behave. But still a pleasant but very slow ride. Later I escorted my wife a couple of miles to pick something up at Michael's craft store.

About 55 miles today @ 16.3 ave. Nice morning for a ride.

bjjoondo 09-18-11 05:51 PM

35 miles, sunny, bit breezy but really nice ride with the Mrs. on the tandem! :)

kr32 09-19-11 04:07 PM

29.94 miles .06 miles short of 30 and a goal I have had for a long time was to average 19mph for a 30 mile ride. Tonight I did 19.1 avg but was .06 miles short!!!!:(
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/115700922

I'm counting it anyway
edit....It was flat as a pancake though and on a MUP for the most part but I did have to stop and start and slow for some folks walking.

DnvrFox 09-19-11 04:25 PM

33 mile 2 day late pie ride, gorgeous weather - just absolutely beautiful.

jmiked 09-19-11 04:52 PM

Did 15 km. on a MUP this morning. My personal best distance. Recovering nicely from surgery. I'm pleased.

bjjoondo 09-19-11 08:06 PM

15 miles, just a LBS run, didn't like the "straight bars" on my new Coda Sport. Had the LBS switch them out for bars with a 3 inch rise, made the bike WAY more enjoyable to ride! Sunny, breezy, 70 F's, a nice day.

Barrettscv 09-20-11 04:13 PM

I got in a 23 mile ride up and down the Chicago Lakefront. Summer temps had many other Chicago cyclists, runners and walkers out and about. There was not enough congestion to reduce the pace, but I prefer less pedestrian traffic.

Had a solid average of 19 mph.

Not many miles last few days - accompanied wife to high school reunion on the weekend. Took a bike and went for an eight mile ride over the dam at Mississeniwa Reservoir Saturday while the classmates traded tales. Zip Sunday.
Poured down rain yesterday. Today rode 12 miles after work. Felt stronger than usual after so many 'recovery' days.

teachme 09-21-11 07:39 AM

Was going to do 15 miles this morning; had a flat 3.5 miles into it. Fixed the flat and finished off the ride at 10 miles.
