Finally back on the bike, my first ride since Feb 16th.

Just a 19 mile ride in 1:15. Sunny mild weather with a 5-10 mph breeze and 35 to 42F temperatures. Best weather in more than a month.

49 miles on the Withlacoochee Trail while participating in the Clean Air Ride today. Great day for an organized charity ride. The trail was a little crowded (about 500 riders) but it was a great ride until my knee started bothering me around mile 40.

Shamrock 03-23-13 05:00 PM

Gravity Aided 03-23-13 05:54 PM

Dead calm right now thinking of slapping on the lights and going for a quick spin b4 the front headed our way tomorrow.

From today's ride(diggin' this pic for some reason:) ) even with a new rack slapped on and in need of proper adjustment

Beautiful Spring day today! 23 mile club ride starting/ending at the Bike Hub/YMCA in downtown Indy. Rode on the Cultural Trail, Monon Trail, Canal Trail and even on some streets and roads. Quite unlike the typical weekend club ride.

Upped the ante to 7.59 miles.. and one of my regular loops (although I used to ride it at least twice). Sunny, about 52F with only an occasional wind gust.. otherwise calm. Rain/snow mix on tap for tomorrow, although might be able to do another short ride before it
gets here. Unsettled weather at least for the first part of the week.. but I always have cardiac rehab to fill in on at least Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

It was a beautiful spring day by all appearences. Just a little chilly. Still it was nice to get out for a ride. The photo is taken from the first look out. Looking forward to warmer spring and summer temperatures here in the Okanagan.

Can't seem to get this posting photo thing working .... hmmm.

I haven't gotten out much lately, but managed to ride 35 miles last night. Nice to see the longer days coming.

Nope! Off and on rain since last night with 25-30 mph winds today. Decided this would be a good day to rest the knee after yesterday's ride.

Gravity Aided 03-24-13 04:53 PM

10 Miles indoors today, 4-6 inches snow outdoors.

Zinger 03-24-13 11:09 PM

Slowly but surely rebuilding the long-dormant motor. Feeling a little stronger every ride. Maybe I'll be ready for that late season century but I'm probably going to finish just in front of the sag wagons. Hope I can save that piece of cheesecake for the last 10 miles, lol.

droy45 03-25-13 06:45 AM

31degF, calm, in the pre dawn glow just coming up over the horizon. Beautiful commute this morning and my average speed is up some since it finally warmed up a little. First time out in lighter tights today and I think its time to re install the clipless pedals and pull out the shoes. Next week, studded tires are coming off. Yee Ha.

168 @ 15.6 Saturday, on the Solvang Double. unfortunately the ride is 197. I ran out of energy between the 140 and 168 mile sags, and could not force myself to eat.
It is a great ride. Next year I will finish

That is impressive, regardless of of your finish point. Nice work

Thanks Roger. It is a beautiful ride. I have also heard the fall Solvang double is more difficult than the spring ride.

John_V 03-25-13 03:15 PM

17.5 very windy miles on a ride with the wife today. Gusts were frequent and were up to 30 mph. Not a pretty ride but the wife did add plenty of stops along the route.

Roger M 03-25-13 08:44 PM

30 miles today, part MUP and part road. It was nice to finally wear short sleeves(about 60 degrees).
