Scandal
I suppose kissing on the steps of B.H. Carroll Memorial Building on the campus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary would be a scandal to some Baptists. They might think we were dancing.
13 miles tonight, including some hilly areas in Wedgwood and South Hills. My honey did great. http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/...31177513_n.jpg |
Hey, hey, hey, none of that smushy stuff here. Most of our members aren't old enough or mature enough to see that kind of smooching, especially on a Seminary's steps. Heresy, I say.
Good pic Doohickie, glad y'all enjoy each other's company on the bicycles. My son looked into attending Southwestern Seminary before the Missions Board accepted him for duty next year. An extremely good Seminary. Ride yesterday: After the afternoon thunderstorms passed the temps went down about 15* and it was nice. No winds after all the blowing with 60mph gusts earlier and hail this was very comfortable. Did my out and back as a series of sprints and rests. Felt very good to ride. Bill |
Only 23 miles this morning. I had planned to do a 35 miler, but I just didn't feel up to it.

Going up to Geneseo NY to bring my son home from college. Going for a 30 mile ride with his group and I hope i survive. They're all "A" riders and the terrain is hilly. Also i'm not bringing my bike because there's no room for it it on the return since he still has 4 bikes up there. He arranged for me to borrow a 56 or 54 since his are all 58s.
Should be fun, but i'm sure i'll be exhausted trying to keep up with them |
Bread and Circus
I found our traffic Roundabout had both a live band and a farmer's market near the rail station, so I bought a loaf of Homemade Honey Wheat Bread , and took it home to my Honey . 10 miles temp 78 winds ENE 15.

20 miles bike commuting yesterday and 17 shared miles on the Screamer this evening.

11 miles today - the most I've ridden in the two months I've been biking (after 45 years of sitting on my rear).

Group ride cancelled due to rain tonight. Everyone went to "after ride" dinner anyway. Rode down to dinner with a friend in the rain, not really heavy rain.
During dinner our gear dried almost completely. Dry and good temps on the way home. Only 12 miles, but, dinner with 10 cyclists and ride home in the dark. Life does not get much better than that. |

I haven't been posting here lately. Generally, I continue riding about 100 miles per week on our local trails and for errands, appointments, etc. Today, I rode to the outdoor pool, swam laps, rode home then rode to physical therapy.
So, sort of boring compared to most. Not really worth a daily posting. |
My usual every other day 58 miles. I try not to skip days unless the weather doesn't cooperate.
|
Woke up at 0530 sans alarm so I figured I'd try a nurly ride (nice and early). it was short and sweet (sorry, the FBI has asked me not to divulge my average moving speed). If I feel OK as the day wears on, I might try it again.

35½ miles this morning starting just before 6 am.
|
12.2 @ 19.7 this morning before work
|
Another full day of rain with no clearing up in site for the next few days. Looks like the trainer is going to get some use in the next few days.

So, sort of boring compared to most. Not really worth a daily posting. I feel like I am doing something worthwhile for me (my wife doesn't see it that way but that's another story) and those miles add up. Today I broke the 29 minute barrier for my 7.5 miles. |
Rode to and from work. 20 miles.
|
7 miles from the LBS to home, after picking up the Allegro 1 from a "tune up"! Hoping to beat out another possible severe storm!!
