Nice sunny weekend. Since I got the trike I decided to put the Roubaix (that I just finished paying for) up for sale on ebay and freeclassifidads.com. Got a couple of nibbles. But after a 16mi ride on Wed and 22mi ride today I cancelled the sale. Such a sweet ride, it's a keeper. After all, one can never have too many bikes (or trikes).

46 more miles on the gravel bike in the bright sunshine. Ended up with a pretty good sunburn on my nose and cheeks.
I seriously overextended myself on this ride, which seems crazy to me for such a short ride. But there was some nutso steep stuff, and this bike is a lot more work on hills than my road bike. Plus I'm fat as hell, and have only done three rides in the last month. I actually had a hard time making it back home, leg cramps, and no power at all. Still a great early spring day though. I just need to be in better shape to take advantage of it. |
Catching up from the weekend

I am guessing about 15 miles as I don't have anything set up yet to keep track of my miles. Just got my first road bike yesterday and took advantage of the nice weather.

Tuesday: 26.3 miles, nice warm weather here, for a change. At least I didn't get rained on while out.
textatt, welcome to cycling and to the 50+ gang, enjoy the new bicycle. Edit: No ride for Wednesday, once in a week for wet rides is my new rule. Bill |

25 mile - best of season ride. I must be getting somewhere IT FELT GOOD! On second thought - maybe it was the DQ blizzard I had before the ride.
|
45 hot and windy miles today. I love this weather but I wish mother nature could have given us some time to transition to it. Currently 88º. It hit 91º at the beaches yesterday and may do it again today.
|
17.2 miles @ 18.4 rolling ave. My lower back felt the best since last Saturday
|
25 miles in the showers, decided that riding in the wet wasn't so bad after all. Took some extra time for braking and cornering and enjoyed the ride.

Yes, I did! First 2015 bike commute: 20 miles total. Barely above freezing on the way in but sunny and upper 50's on the ride home.

40 miles at 18 mph after work. about 1800" of climbing.

31 warm-enough miles on the bike path again, this time down to visit Abe and Thomas along the Potomac.
Glad to hit actual ROADS again this weekend, at least on Sunday if the weather holds out. |
Still feeling groggy waking up in the dark again. When fall comes and we go back to standard time, I'm not shifting my wake/sleep hours around.

31 warm miles at the Ride 4 the Animals charity ride. The route went along the Gulf Beaches so there was lots of wind and we had two killer bridges to climb going in both directions.
