Why is it...
The year before last, it rained from the time it quit snowing until it started again. Last year spring showed up the end of May, and ran right into fall, making riding difficult. This year I am laid up and can't ride, so weather turned summer like the middle of April, and looks like it may stay that way......
Okay, so what did I do to deserve this

Think yourself lucky- you had a spring. Last couple of years we had a mild spell between winter and the two weeks in May when summer arrived. Then it went into overcast skies- plenty of rain- warmth and humidity. I got fed up with riding in S/S jerseys in the rain just to keep cool.
This year may be different but long weekend as a national holiday coming up with Monday as the holiday. After two weeks of Cool nights- warm days in the high 60's but with a cooling headwind- tonight it is due to rain- and the temp for Friday to Monday will drop into the 50's. Best day will be saturday and I am working that day.

Toronto, Canada??? You couldn't pay me enough to live in the snow belt.
Sounds like you need to move south -- at least 1000 miles (1609 km since you live in Canada
).

Cheer up Wogs old buddy. If you weren't laid up you would probably end up sacrificing most of the sunny warm days to family commitments anyway. There's is always something to 'Bug' us a bit and get in the way of a nice long ride.
Since we're so close geographically, be sure to post whenever you're gonna be laid up so I can be sure to have my bikes lubed, adjusted, and ready to ride! Thanks
