I passed a couple of club riders from Redlands this morning...pretty sure I crushed their souls. I'll be looking for their bikes for sale on Craigslist soon...

Andrea and Jay are a lovely couple and that's a beautiful photo. However, my attention was diverted away from the lovebirds by the gorgeous Oakleaf hydrangeas on either side of them! Where is that location? So pretty!

Made it back after 101 miles under 6 hours by 9 minutes. Legs are tired but otherwise feel good.

Two Hammergels and some Cytomax should remove any traces of the PEDs

Thinking about my first century on July 11. I have the legs, it just depends if I can cast off my anchors for the day.

It's a local place that holds many wedding receptions, etc. Giblert's Party Barn. The steps go nowhere.....just for photo sessions.

It's 6:15 am. 48F, lots of rain and nature's fireworks last night. I am doing some resistance exercises, and shortly will be going out for a ride. I will wear bibs, a short-sleeved jersey under a long-sleeved jersey with hood, leg warmers, arm warmers, a wind breaker, and carry a small backpack - as it warms up, I will peel layers off and put them in the backpack. Starting at 48F, it will get to 81F.

I will be taking my swim suit, and will stop for a swim on my way back. And the wind is the variable I can't predict. A 10 mph breeze at 48F is really cold feeling!!

Have a great day, everyone.

Where I am this is not an issue to be honest. It is something I think I would have a hard time doing. But then again if I lived there I would have to if I wanted to ride.
I have peeled off knee and arm warmers but those fit in the back pockets of my jersey.

With a brisk wind, I was happy to have all those layers. Started peeling them off, and I ended up in the swimming pool with just my Speedo, doing laps. After that, put all my extra layer stuff except the back pack itself in the wife's car (she was doing her aquaerobics at the same pool) and pedaled off to the Super Market where I bought grapes, strawberries and cherries, put them in the now empty back pack, and here I am, fully refreshed.

It was peaceful this am after a hard rain last night. Everything was clean, the sun was bright, the small streams were running, the birds were singing up a storm!! I took my time and thoroughly enjoyed my ride/swim/shopping!!

Temp is now a wonderful 66F.

Sounds great!
I bet the small streams sounded great, I like that sound.
I was riding today taking a recovery ride after my 101 yesterday and saw this young lady and she had the biggest smile I have seen in awhile. I am sure it was not because of me but due to be out riding. I thought of you and the SMILES,NOT MILES

I learned that if you diddle with the Garmin autopause settings and hang on with the hammerheads on a flat ride, tou can jack up your average speed.

Yesterday's stage was just a teaser for the mountains...should be a great TDF this year.

Today getting ready for my ride, I noticed a cut in the sidewall of my front tire. I replaced the tire. I noticed my rear was low on air and the tread looked like it needed to be replaced. I replaced that tire and tube as well.
