FYI, this recent thread is on the Road Cycling Forum announcing National Pie Day Sunday (Jan.23). Isn't the Fifty Plus Annual Pie Ride in September? (The tradition apparently started well before I joined.) Who's going to explain it to noglider?

I just talked to the day camp woman. I'm excited. It will be every weekday for four weeks, except for July 4, for the holiday.

Also, in April, I'm teaching an adult class on how to ride safely in traffic. I taught this last summer, too. It was well received. Wouldn't you know, all of the enrollees were women. Women are good at saying what their fears are and what they don't know, kinda like asking for directions.

Yes, that's really a picture I recently took of myself.

Here's a picture my wife shot last year on my birthday. Someone in the Classic and Vintage section of bikeforums designed and printed and distributed these shirts. We paid him to cover his costs. They are not available any more.

Dan, you have a good remembery. I also peek into the Clydesdale section without qualifying. My weight crept up to 190 but now it's back to 180. It's the first time I ever lost weight so I don't know where it goes from here.

Tom

[Edited to change "food" for "good." Oy.]

I'm well qualified for the Clyde forum, but I don't hang out there much. It's the one sub forum that everyone wants to lose their qualification for.

Almost, but not completely true. Some people are resigned to being of a certain physique, and that's OK. Some people are better off keeping the weight on. And some people, at their ideal weights, are over 200 lbs (or whatever the female qualifying weight is). I like that section because people are humble and supportive.
