Getting back into riding
#26
After being tired from the 15 miles yesterday I was going to rest, 1 1/2 hr before sunset I changed my mind.
Went to the local mall and back, 54min and 9.2 miles. I feel great, my average increased 1mph.
I think I'm starting to see why a better quality bike makes the ride better.

I was wondering where he is from in Florida because that was also the emblem that was on all the Tampa Electric (TECO) trucks back then. Since he is thinking of doing the charity ride this Saturday in Clearwater, I figure he is from the Tampa Bay Area.

Caught my eye, too. I've not seen Reddy since I was a kid in north Louisiana, where he was the 'mascot' for LP&L (Louisiana Power & Light, now Entergy).

I grew up in St Pete, Reddy was on the FPC trucks back then, many power companies used him until the people that had the copyrights wanted money from everyone using Reddy. Almost every company got a new logo.

Reddy was so much a part of everyday life here, in the construction industry, we usually call the electrical foreman "Reddy Kilowatt" out of habit. Old guys don't mind, young guys think you are insulting them. For what reason I don't know. Glad you are enjoying the riding.
