Me, too! It was a balmy 36F and a gorgeous sky when I started my 45 mile ride today. It got up to a sweaty 42 or so by the time I got done! Great day for a ride and sorry some people have to work.

In the military, you have

"Figmo"

the last four words are " . . . I got my orders"

Wow, I'm impressed. I'm glad I returned to biking and when I'm 72, I hope I can keep up with you. Heck, I wish I could keep up with you now! Keep on bikin'

You made me do my homework on this "foo" thing. Answers.com has this to say:

FOO stands for File Of Obscure Origin
foo is used and popular for a temporary file or variable.
foo is also used as a sample name for absolutely anything. Esp. programs and files.
foo may have been derived from the German word "furchtbar" which is "terrible"
foo is used as "fubar" by military and stands for "F***ed Up Beyond Repair (Recognition)

The English language has a lot of meanings for a given word.

Will.....I would rather you'd spent the time servicing the bike, sampling your wife's brandy cake (I think it was brandy cake you mentioned she makes), or, gosh, spinning down the road. But thanks...in any event, I'll try to trim the foo from my posts!

An off-topic question for you: what bike and what gearing are you planning to use for your cross country ride? What kind of terrain will you be riding?

I'd like to give you a longer reply RonH but I've got arthritis in my fingers and they ache all the time and the muscles in my neck strain if I spend too much time on the computer which directly effects my old collar bone injury that I got when I stacked my bike and my eyes really hurt and sting after looking at the screen too long which gives me a headache you know the one that really hurts right above the eyes the one that never seems to go away no matter how many aspros you take and my bum starts to go numb because the seats too hard like after riding for hours and hours on end and I get cramps in my calfs from sitting in one position all the time and by the way what are the best vitamins for cramp? Or should I drink alot more water while on the net? and oh **** I've already spent too long on the computer doing this reply because I'm NOW late for my orthopedic appointment.

Damn.

You still around Roscoe 80?

Tell us about your boring ride on the same old boring road to the same old boring state with the same old boring people staying in the same old boring hotels and eating in the same old boring restaurants.

We're fascinated.

Hey moderator

Isn't it about time this thread was closed?

It was inappropriate when posted, and has caused nothing but dissension since.

How about it?
