Georgia store stop

Old wooden bridge over the Silver Comet Trail, 2nd longest paved trail in the US. The bridge was open to motor vehicles until about 10 years ago. I've driven a car over it.

Beer cave @ mile 70 of an 85 mile ride. I just stood there enjoying the cold for about five minutes.

It was just sitting on the side of the road as I blew past on a descent. I turned around to look at it and snapped a photo for posterity.
Maybe a Gray Rat Snake?

In London for the past week with my family for a vacation and stumbled across the start of the 2018 Gumball 3000 Rally from London to Tokyo. Was a blast being there and experiencing the electricity in the crowd.

The Union Pacific purchased 25 of these "Big Boy" articulated steam locomotives, the largest ever built, before and during World War II. Six of them remain. This is one is in a public park in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It's being cosmetically restored, and while I was there, several other railfans took pictures of this gigantic piece of machinery; one also arrived on his bicycle. Another Big Boy is currently being functionally restored in a nearby UP shop.

From the FANY Ride

The "Mud Lock" on the Cayuga-Senaca Canal. A boat is locking through to Cayuga Lake (from the direction of the Erie Canal).
On this year's FANY Ride, across the state of New York.

Bucket list. Fort Collins, Colorado Municipal Railway. Lovingly restored 1920's single operator Birney electric streetcar runs weekends. No bike racks.

Cabernet grapes. I would guess another 4 weeks before harvest.

August - September is an ugly time of year but much worse this year due to the fires effecting air quality.
