Haijimadaishi, a Buddhist temple in Akishima (Tokyo) that I cycled past on my way home on a 163 km ride on Sunday.
The colour of the sky and of the roof tiles match in a strange way while the golden accents are in contrast to the blue hues that dominate the image. I thought it was a very unusual combination of colours overall.

I had to ride out to fix a geocache; it was in a sign that somebody ran into. The cache disappeared.
About six miles north of Grand Junction, Colorado. No, my bike didn't wreck the sign. Two different bikes..... The old cache location:

People around here call these Naked Ladies, but also referred to as Surprise Lillies, or Mystery Lillies. The foliage dies off early in the season and then late summer, the flowers come up. Common sight along rural roads.

Railroad bridge crossing the Allegheny River near downtown Pittsburgh.
7:05 AM this morning. Pretty soon my early morning rides are going to start before the sun rises.

Bikes: Bikes??? Thought this was social media?!?

After Saturday’s rains, the temperature was mild, the air was clear, the breezes fresh. Glad I live in a place close to a big city, that usually seems so far away.

Continuing the open spaces theme.
Oh yeah. Veloflex Arenberg and Vlaanderen (?) seem less prone to cuts than others I ride.

I seem to be getting some gravel on most every ride, so the cut protection is appreciated.

Here in Philadelphia and surrounding areas the spotted lantern fly infestation is out of control. I stomped dozens today. As I was about to unlock my bike outside the office I noticed this on my tire. Just before I put on my helmet I saw one inside.

Fading daylight at Lake Miyagase, a reservoir in the mountains that supplies the cities of Yokohama and Kawasaki with tap water. I passed here on Mountain Day (a public holiday) after a ride with friends on what has been one of the hottest days of the year so far. After this shot I still had 1/3 of my 165 km ride to get home.

Two from Sunday morning's ride.
6:59 AM - Sunrise on the Allegheny River from the 16th Street Bridge:

The GAP trail as it crosses the Hot Metal Bridge over the Monongahela River. BITD, rail cars carried molten iron across this bridge from blast furnaces on one side of the river to be converted into steel on the other side. The bridge was built in 1900.

Yesterday's ride in the Sourlands (central, NJ). My guess is this tree was snapped off by Tropical Storm Isaias which had come through two weeks before.
