Couple of bike shots. This one is a bit of a cenotaph to W.W.-1 at St. Boniface Cathedral.

Main entrance to the old cathedral is through a cemetery.

This is the interior of what's left of the old cathedral.
I had wanted to do a few shots of the Forks/River-walk trail, but high water until late this summer left it in pretty bad condition.
Loop for me from home is a little over 7 1/2 miles- a good run.

I lived in this area back in the mid 70s - beautiful part of the country.
I walked across that trestle and along the river (when the train tracks were still there) countless times.
I still try to make it back there each summer or fall - this year in late September.

It was closed for repairs for all of last summer- there was netting up over the old counter-weight.
I'll have to get down there with the camera when I have a little time.

A blast from the past when I started doing motorcycle trackdays. I usually took my Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo with me to roll around the paddock with. That bike had seen things - 24 hour mountain bike races, skinny tires and a loaded tour down the PCH, and trails from Vermont to Utah. The bike's in the basement, awaiting its resurrection.

spotted (and heard) near the GAP Ohiopyle trailhead
( note the familiar bridge over the Yough river )
did a double-take when I heard the 2 stroke ring-ding-ding … and there it was - RGV 500 … very rare - especially in the US as they did not import them into the US
I’m a 2 stroke nut sorta / kinda - almost purchased a new RZ350 BITD … then after I passed on that opportunity looked at getting a RZ500 (which was not imported to the US)
sorta kick myself for not pulling the trigger - but I might not be here to type this if I had gone that way …
… eventually I did get a little Ninja 250 (‘ninjette’) - my one and only street bike (among many dirt bikes)

Later, he took a picture of the heron sunning itself on a power pole. I told him it looked like a pterodactyl. Huge.
