Was nice to see the sun again ... I was going to complain about the temperatures, however given the snow storm on the east coast I figure I should just be happy that I was riding today.

With my Fuji's stable long wheelbase, I can ride 'no-hands' easily.

One of these years, I'll have to ride Hilly Hundred again - I haven't ridden it since '78 or '79...

One of my favorite rides. Here is another view of those peaks from a ride after work last week.

I like to document road kill - I've had some interesting ones over the years, but until today, never a BADGER!

Look at the claws on this booger.

I saw it dead and upside down on the way UP the Mountain, and said to my buddy - "That looked like a BADGER!". I remembered to look for it on the way down and someone had moved him off the road and right-side-upped him. There were a couple other riders stopped to admire him as well.

A photo from the better half of today's ride. The orchards are just beginning to blossom - I never tire of the beauty.

Most unusual road kill I've ever come across. Several miles from the lake. Flying fish????

Cripes! You aren't kidding!

I've never encountered a badger personally, but I remember seeing a documentary that showed a lion trying to dig one out of a hole. After 2 hours of getting the crap scratched outta it's snout, it gave up. Badgers are nasty!

Love this photo!

Never having been to Alaska, I would have envisioned there still to be 6 feet of snow on the ground in April.

Yea, that's him!

I've never felt comfortable with my hands off the handlebars. Maybe it's part of a deeper emotional problem I have with losing control. lol
