I've always admired famous Tony. Stand up guy. I heard him talk in Charlotte not long after the death of his son. That has to be one of the toughest thing a parent can go through.

Stopped to snap this pic on today's 50 miler. Dark clouds with some tree color in the background. But what I really noticed was brief appearance of SUNSHINE!!!! I sure have missed it. Been a while! |

With the time change, I'm commuting into work right about sunrise. That means that I get to see the Belt of Venus out in the Western sky, reflecting off of the ocean, which can be pretty fab if you like pastels. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...pslwtt40rp.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psvg79s9sv.jpg |

Yea, this time of year, the commute surely doesn't suck. We had some warm, calm weather yesterday with some whispy clouds. I only got to go out for a few hours, but it was fab. I was lucky enough to spend a couple of weeks in Southern Italy last month. SoCal isn't quite as spectacular, but it has it's charm. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psnl6f4p1b.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...pstgb84f1j.jpg |

The great Midwest: 51.5 miles, and only 1200 ft of climb.
That's what happens when mile-thick sheets of ice overrun the place. :p http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=487079 When the glamour of fall is gone, but the gray of winter is at bay: http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=487078 |
Just playing around with the camera after taking my gravel bike on actual gravel of all things.

Today (November 16, 2015) was beautiful here in NJ. Low 60s. So I rode down to Washington's Crossing and only needed to wear a jersey and shorts!
Here's a shot from the Washington's Crossing Bridge looking upstream on the Delaware. Pennsylvania on the left and New Jersey on the right. The fall colors are pretty much gone and most of the leaves have fallen. http://www.edandjane.net/Home/Miscel...8/IMG_1498.jpg My bike wanted a selfie: http://www.edandjane.net/Home/Miscel...4/IMG_1504.jpg - Ed |

Ugh. I hate those metal grid bridge surfaces. Even when dry, riding across them makes my ride feel "squirmy". When wet, I may as well just jump off the bridge at the start! ;)

Tricia (MyLilPony) and I rode the Giro di Vino wine tasting ride in Lodi CA. It rained.

We had a friend drop by for the Thanksgiving holiday. Here we are enjoying the view of the Santa Monica Bay.
