The measurement that matters the most in this case is the effective top tube length, not the seat tube measurement. Remember, sloping top tube frames need to be fitted differently. The OP might well take a 53 cm diamond frame and would ride a much smaller sloping-top-tube frame. In reviewing the video it looks like his effective top tube numbers are pretty close to right. Let us know how this goes.
I'd also suggest that you don't make radical changes to any part of your bike; 1/2 to 1 inch is way too much on a saddle height adjustment initially, while it may be fine when you are finished.. Start with small increments so that you can track any changes in feel. Changing too much too fast is a sure way to get discouraged and to make an error.
