choosing handlebars

My wife and I have inherited a couple of used Bromptons. We'd like to replace the straight handlebars with "M" bars. Brompton makes a low-rise and a high-rise bar. Would either of these complicate or interfere with the folding of the bikes? Do you advise against either of them for any reason? Thanks for the help.

To me handlebars are like underwear and are a totally an indiviual preference. The only reason for high rise is you want to sit more upright. That is also individual preference like the underwear. Roger

NB: the bar mast is different on M model than S*, and that is available but expensive..

Otherwise, you will have the left end of an M bar below ground level when its folded down,

* there is the H too, and the P mast and bar combination also, each is some what different.
