Dahon MU stem adjustment help needed.

the stem of my MU P8 has come loose. I've tightened it but it works it's way loose after a short time. If the two screws are tightened all the way it cannot get into the closed position. there's a lot of play in the latch that locks the stem into position. I noticed that there's two screws on the side of the catch but thought I would ask before I started toying with those.

I just checked my wife's bike which is the same model but the locking mechanism is a different design.

Thanks
Dan

those two big screws need to be loose ... you can adjust the little middle pin out in order to put a little more pressureon the cam.. small adjustments otherwise u break the block

different handlepost designs .... Dahon has switched back to the radius 3 for most of their models, some radius 5 still can be found but the gist is radius 3 ...

Use some thread lock on the screws that get loose, or torque down to specs.

Thanks for the replies. I adjusted the pin and that seems to have fixed it. I'll test ride longer tomorrow.
