Sometimes I wish there was a step above simply flagging. Flagged yet another MTB'er yesterday, whose max recorded speed during the activity was 89.5mph. Listen mountain bike a-hole, it's bad enough you forgot to hit "end ride" again, but 30mph over the speed limit? Really?
The same thing happened near me, repeated 65 MPH in a 35 zone on a road segment near the local MTB park.
Coincidentally, a patrol car with radar and one of those large signs saying how fast you are going was in the middle of the segment one weekend a few months back.

I wish there was a way to join a couple of Strava rides together. On my century ride, I meant to turn off the display on my phone, since it was going to me a long ride and use up a lot of battery power if I left it on. Unfortunately instead of just turning off the display I ended the session, but quickly started a new session. Oh well, it still shows 102 miles for the day, but still shows it as two separate rides. I'm not too worried about it, though, because I know I got the century and the total miles are what I'm after.

There is. I think you have to export the Strava files, add data from both files together, then re-import it. I don't do it often, but I think there are step by step instructions out on the web somewhere. I seem to remember there's a non-Strava utility that helps with that.
To do that (and to crop, I think) you need to be a paid Strava subscriber.

I've done this a number of times over the years, like in July, I was out on a 140-mile day and my Garmin 510 battery died after 10 hours and I had to use my Garmin Forerunner to record the rest of the ride.
I usually do a Google search like "merge two GPX files" - Here's one site: Combine FIT, GPX or TCX files for Garmin or Strava

Sometimes!
You have to negotiate a bit of XML, but you can download both GPXs, and copy and paste the second one onto the end of the first one, and reupload it.
Say these were your two files you copied and pasted into the same file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<gpx creator="StravaGPX" version="1.1" xmlns="https://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1" xmlns:xsi="https://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="https://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1 https://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/gpx.xsd Loading site please wait... You would delete everything in red italics, from the </trkseg> in the first file's content to the <trkseg> in the second file. Upload that, and you should have a complete ride.
Of course, make sure you reupload it BEFORE deleting your original rides, and verify it looks right before getting rid of them. I hold no responsibility for XML editing gone wrong!

It's fairly simple.
