Cannondale Bad Boy 5 Brake Pad

Hi,

I have a cannondale bad boy 5 which I purchased in 2014 (I believe it is a 2013 model). My brake pads need to be replaced and I cannot seem to find any information as to what the model of the calipers are so that I can choose the appropriate pads. I have attached some photos of it to this post. Can you please help me in identifying the model of these calipers ? I would also be grateful if you could recommend some high quality pads that would go with these calipers (model + brand). I use my bike for daily commute, therefore, I can spend a few extra dollars on the pads.

Many thanks

That's a standard Shimano brake, which uses a common pad shared with a lot of their different brake models. It's the B01S for a resin pad, found here. I also quite like the Jagwire semi-metallic pads DCA016 found here. The Shimano resin pads are less expensive than the Jagwires.

lots of aftermarket companies* make a shimano compatible replacement pad set.

take the worn ones out and see what your local bike shop has..

or once you see what shape-outline they are match pictures of alternates..

* I liked the Kool Stop replacements better than the original ones.. in my case.

If you find out which model of brake here's a company I purchased disc brake pads from over the past 14 years. I've used them on Shimano M525 mechanical, Hope C2 hydraulic, and Avid BB7 brakes. The prices are great and you have 4 choices of brake pad composition to choose from. I picked the Shimano Deore BRM-555 hydraulic as an example. The caliper or brake model number can be found:

-Imprinted/screened on the caliper casting somewhere (front, side, top, or bottom)
-Imprinted/screened on the brake lever body, typically on the bottom of the master cylinder, but sometimes on the top, the cover, or rear-facing portion.

That number will tell you what pads will fit in your brake, without a doubt.

Thank you all very much for your responses. I will order b01s type pads which should fit in. I will also try to find the imprints (though I already tried and couldn't find them). Cheer to you all.
