Conservative Cyclists
Any other conservative cyclists here on the forum? Seems like most of our cycling brethren lean left. Just wanted to say hello.
Cheers.

Before this gets locked I would tell you to be careful, in the current political climate you'll probably get death threats.

I think I've seen photos of the past 3 ex-Presidents on bikes, and other national political officials, but not the current "goes into a bicycle race at 72 years old, and falls and breaks his leg" attitude about road biking one. I guess we're all "not-him" party.
At least as far as cycling goes, which is OP's intended topic ... right?

I believe you fabricated that story but in any case it doesn't interest me. If it did I would hang in the political section. But I don't.

I deeply apologize for being an actual human being with a variety of drives, desires, thoughts and ideas which does not fit comfortably in any small category, nor can I be described by any convenient label.
People who need to join "one side ro the other" need an enemy to hate to compensate for their own inability to cope with themselves, is what I have found.
I have ideas, beliefs, feelings and understandings which are all over the ideological map ... and even worse ... I CHANGE MY MIND SOMETIMES. I actually look at new or different ideas and weigh and consider, ... I actually think that no matter how smart I might ever be, i do not and will not know everything ... so i always need to be willing to learn.
I just don't fit in anywhere ... I wouldn't want to be anyway. But y'all pick sides, chant slogans, sling memes ... keeps you busy and keeps you out of my way. i have bikes to ride and a person to improve .... that person being ... Me.

I hate to do this but none of these even turn out well. They quickly heat up into heated political arugements. But feel free to start a thread in P&R on the same subject.
