Cowbells are great on mountain bicycles when going downhill on rough terrains. On good surfaces, such as common MUPs, probably not so much.

Yep. I have one on both my MTB and gravel bike. I have had many hikers thank me for the advanced warning of my approach. I like the Granite Cricket because it’s not too loud, and I can turn it off.

I was just cracking wise. But I do wonder what happened to that bell.

I’ll get a couple - turning it off on quite and solitary stretches is a great idea.

Cowbells work great on my All Road bike for a mix of gravel and pavement.

A good amount of those seven pages were the typical off topic banter. Had there been the regular nitpicking, hair splitting, and arguing that goes on, I think that seven could have easily been doubled.
