get a garmin (gps) no wires or having to worry about if your magnets are lined up does most of the functions plus you can download your course to your computer.

I never met a bike computer I liked. I have used them on and off since the 80s when I bought my first Avocet. I always find ways to mangle them. Until the last couple of years. I slapped a planet bike 9.0 on my mountain bike and haven't been able to kill it since. Maybe my luck has changed.

I originally had a more expensive Cateye and the instruction page (yes "page", not "book") was written in very, very poor english and impossible to decipher. And it only worked half of the time (skipped quite a bit) until it died completely after about 6-8 months.
Incite should be ok......maybe we can help you with it, or bike shop can figure out whatever your problem is.
