Quote: Hey Blair, that look a lot like the Lynsky I found on E-Bay and will be building. Do you know if it can handle 28mm tires ?.

TIA, Steve B.
Real answer: it depends. When Conti 4000 tires were out, they didn't seem to measure true to spec, so a 23mm was all I could get on my front before it got too close to the top of the fork. Now, I have success with both Schwalbe and Conti 5000 tires, 28mm rear and 25mm front. My current rims are wider though, so that gives less of the light bulb effect.

Sorry it's not just a yes or no answer.

Quote: I would not consider buying anything from them at this point. I have made 2 email inquiries and left one phone message in the past week and a half, regarding availability of a derailleur hanger for an R240, I have not heard back. I did however get an email yesterday regarding their Memorial day upgrade event. I certainly wouldn't trust them (whomever that is, if anyone) at this point.

Love my R240, looks I'll have to not need a hanger going forward. Or find a local machine shop to make one.
Most derailleur hangers are available for most any brand on the internet. Juscycling might have your hanger on Amazon for $20, but check to make sure I found the correct one, but here is what I think it is: Amazon.com : Juscycling Derailleur Hanger for Lynskey Foundry Kona Salsa Santana 142, 257 : Sports & Outdoors If that one is not the correct one, you can find the correct one with some research.

Thanks for the honest reply. I’ll likely order some 28’s and if they are too big I’ll send them back. I have 25’s from an older rim brake bike if needed.

Thank you the information, sadly that one won't fit as it's for the R240 Disk frame, didn't recall them having an R240 Disk. Regardless I have an R240 rim brake frame which uses a different hanger. I also checked elanusparts other Lynskey hangers and they also do not fit. The search continues. Lynskey part number for the hanger is DH260, ironically the R230 which preceded the R240 rim uses a different hanger #DH256. they look similar except for the mounting bolts.

Thank you for the reply, That hanger fits the R230 and some other Lynskeys, but not the R240. I'll have to keep hunting. The ironic part is the 2 hangers on Lynskey's site look similar except for the bolts.

Thanks again to both of you, I appreciate it.

Your bike seems like it's a particular problem. The wide variety of hangers seems unnecessary and bizarre.

I'm guessing you saw this:

Have you looked at Wheels Manufacturing or derailleurhanger.com?

Quote: No FOMO. I have been riding for over 50 years and have never had a problem slowing down. No big mountain passes in Ohio! And I try my best to not ride in the rain.
I’ve never had a problem slowing down either. I slow down whenever I feel like it.

I to have a Lynskey gr300. At first I loved it but now the crank area has a nasty creek and it’s for sure an issue with the frame. No visible cracks but it’s not the hardware installed. It still rides nice but I get tired of the noise. For $900 I am not that upset though. I was going to get one of there nicer gravel frames as a replacement recently but saw the bad press on frame deliveries. Decided not to. Too bad I like the prices.

Sorry about the creak. Great-looking bike, though. Including the cassette looking like a time tunnel/wormhole disappearing into the distance.

Thanks. I am super bummed espically after I put these new conti 50 dubnital on my 9velo gv45 an and they fit. This bike is an about beast on really rough terrain. I have so much brakes it’s like a mountain bike. Loving the hell out of it atm but that damn lower creek 🔨
with the new dubs and needing a bad bath.

I have a Lynskey R270 Disc that developed a creak at one point. Thinking something was wrong with the BB or was about to have a failing Shimano crank, I took it to the shop.

The guy diagnosed it as a loose dropout insert.

Don't know if the GR300 has the same style dropout, but if it does, the fix could be as easy as a wrench and a bit of loctite. Good luck!

Received my frame, nice looking. Threw some GP 5000’s on my CXP 33 wheels, I can see the max tire size is going to be 26mm or so. These tires are so-called 28mm as new from Conti, but on these wheels run small. Just as well. I have some GP 5000 in 30mm on order, doubt they’ll fit. I’m OK with it though. Nice looking frame,
