Bad habits

What's your worst bad habit or problem while cycling?
Personally, I get bored on long, flat, straight rides. I start daydreaming and go slower and slower til I almost doze off. How lame is that?

Not eatting or drinking enough. Also when I get bored (doesn't happen often) I start doing wiered stuff like weaving (on solo rides).

Chromedome, I have that problem too. I also fill my panniers with big rocks I find but that is OK, they are for my garden.

My bad habit is stopping. On a long ride, when I start to get bored or tired, I tend to come up with reasons to stop ... to take photos, to adjust something, to stretch .... when I really should just stay on the bicycle and keep pedalling.

I'm working on it!

Getting my rear-end off the saddle when going over bumps and whatnot.

Not drinking water often enough, then drinking too much and feeling uncomfortable.

I'd say riding the first 30 km without stopping at all. I am much more rested at the end of the day if I stop every hour, even at the beginning of the day.

Sometimes I lose focus and pedal too slowly. I start daydreaming and don't notice how slow I'm going until a jogger or skater yell "on your left".

When I get bored or tired on a ride I tend to drift to the right and even though it is rare, I have gone off the path or smacked a curb or two. But it tends to get me focused real quick!

forgetting to drink and not drinking enough... also stopping, especially early in the season. It gets better... but sometimes I can't NOT stop and look at a family of little baby ducks. Maybe being a suck for cute animals is a bad habit.

Taking my hands off the handlebars and riding hands-free.

Doing wheelies and catwalks with my mountain bike.

I'm probably too old to be doing stuff like that.

My bad habit is to NOT stop when I see something neat, to look or to take pictures. I'm buying a new camera specifically to have one with me on the bike, and I'll work on stopping whenever there's something cool to look at.

Bikes: the ever shifting stable loaded with comfortable road bikes and city and winter bikes

bad habits...riding like a banshee, drafting trucks and busses, wrong way sidewalk riding, aggressive interactions with drivers, taking the lane 'just to show em' I'm wise to their car driving tricks....i find this is by far the most annoying habit i exhibit, if not the most dubious.
