That's nothing. I once actually vomited while I was riding (true story).

I usually carry a handkerchief with me when I ride (I call it the spanky-hanky), but often on solo rides I can't be bothered getting it out of my jersey pocket, so at those times Ijust fire snot rockets.
I have spewed while out riding but stopped to do it in the nearest hedge and not in public!!! I used to spew if I was really unfit but it hasn't happened now for about 4 years

In the interests of making this issue at least as contentious as steel v. aluminum, I would like to point out the inherent safety advantages of the snort and spit method:
You don't have to take your hands off the bars.
All other methods are obviously inferior.

this reminds me of a riddle that, i am told, dates from the time of the raj:

what does the indian leave at the side of the road that the englishman puts in his pocket?

we could almost start a sub-poll here "over the shoulder or under the arm" ,i was quite happy with over the shoulder ,unaware of the under the arm method till reading this thread since then ive been trying to perfect the under arm version with little or no success, a messy bisness thats for shore, but practice makes perfect, so they say !
