Sweet Kona Fubar I like that red.

Right now I'm riding a 96' Bianchi Premio for the road which I bought 3 years ago used for quite a deal ($300 for the bike, helmet and water cages). Nice, sturdy, a little heavy but very nice. Sorry no pics though I don't have a digital camera.

For a mountain bike right now I am using my 3 year old Mongoose Pro DX something or another. I've put a lot of miles on it and its starting to die on me. Once my LBS gets the 19'' 03 stumpies in stock that will be my new ride. I can't wait the money is burnin' a hole in my pocket :).

BBQ: You must have $27,000 in rolling stock there. Impressive! What are they?

BBQ 02-28-03 06:50 AM

Nah, The black bike is just a C'Dale CAAD 4. The ATB is a GT Avalanche. The other two are '70's roadies converted to fixed gears...a Gitane and a Chicago Schwinn. The fixies are incredibly inexpensive to build up (part of the allure;) )

The CAAD 4 and GT have mid-range groups on them is all.

You must be tall BBQ..

6'3" is all...but long legs.

My ride is a Peugeot Alpin Pro. The fork has been replaced after a encounter with a solid, non-moving object.

I love it.

My 2001 Lemond Nevada City (with new Axial Pro Carbons behind, which will go on once the winter is over).

My 1999 Raleigh C200 hybrid. Not a bad bike at all. Might convert it to a commuter if I get around to it.

2003 Kestrel Talon - Full Campy Record - Spinergy Rev-X rear - Zipp 530 front. Cinelli carbon post - Easton stem, bars ... Just built, waiting for snow to melt here in Michigan, so I can ride it!

MPJ: Your Kestrel is gorgeous! It's not a bike, it's a work of art!!!

SpiderMike 03-03-03 09:35 AM

Well I just enlarged my stable. Just bought a 2002 Specialized Stumpjumper M4. XT Hydralic disc brakes on the way. This is to retire the Schwinn Homegrown, since it is an Orginal Schwinn, and don't want to see how hard it will be to find a replacement derailer hanger.

tokus 03-03-03 06:32 PM

Hey Spidermike which stumpie is it, the base model? I have a 03' base model stumpie coming in on wednesday. :) Not all is well though, were supposed to get 6+ inches of snow tomorrow night:irritated

2002 Cannondale R700 and a 1994 Trek 1000.

GIANTBIKES 03-04-03 10:08 PM

I have a Giant SEDONA DX. I will have my Giant OCR Touring as soon as the LBS gets it in!

DevilMan 03-06-03 01:00 PM

Finally, after waiting 3 months my 'Black Beauty' is all ready to ride! I went on a 60km trip, and i must say, what an improvement, the ride is so much smoother and feels even faster :-)

Here's my new road ride. It's a crappy pic, but a cool bike.

Everything is stock so far. I need to get some aftermarket stuff on it, something about all stock just bothers me.

pistachio 03-07-03 10:29 AM

MPJ - sorry about my drooling on your kestrel - very lustable.

My first and only road bike (so far) is a Bianchi Campione, 1997 (I think). Last year I replaced the cranks and bb with chorus; rest is veloce. The coolest thing about my bike is the unique color - a lime green that I've only ever seen on one other bike.

CycleNaut 03-07-03 04:57 PM

Here is my 2002 Jamis Aurora with lots of road spooge to prove that I took it through the muck today. Built for comfort, not for speed, she uses a Body Geometry saddle and Armadillo tires on a solid steel frame fitted with genuine Shimano Sora components. I rode my first metric century on her last weekend. She will always be my first love.

Okay, I'll chime in with my bikes.

My road bike is a 56cm Specialized Sirrus steel lugged frame and steel unicrown fork. 14-speed down tube shifters. All Shimano 105 with Wolber rims and Vittoria Techno Pro tires. Everything is pretty much as/is from circa 1992 except for the cartridge bottom bracket and new chainrings, 53/39 instead of the original 52/42. I weighed it at 23.7lbs ready to race (with pedals). I'm hanging on to this bike to ride until I can get a Bianchi Veloce or a Lemond Zurich.

My touring/commuter bike is a Novara Randonee steel frame & fork with Shimano RSX. This is a 21 speed bike. Wheels on this one are RSX hubs with Mavic MA-2 rims and Continental Top Touring 2000 tires. Pretty comfy and much faster than commuting on a mountain bike.
