97 Klein Mantra Race
also have an old schwinn roadbike that I plan to do some work to so I can ride something other on the roads. |
A classic Univega Ital Sport with a mix of parts from Campy, Sachs, and Suntour. It rides well enough and is a blast to ride. I do have to change out freewheels depending on where I ride.
I also have a 2001 Diamondback Sorrento that I use for crusing around town, errand running, family riding, and light trail riding. Then there is a early '90s Specialized Crossroads I keep at my rental shop for errand running around the resort that I am employed at. My son has a Adams Trail-a-bike he rides behind my D'back that he absoultly loves. |
On-One Gimp in black.
3pc cranks, Hope, Planetx, Mavic, Kenda, Ultegra, XT, Titec, Snafu, WTB, Tioga, RockShox.... mint ;) |

My road bike is a Trek 5200. The MTB is a Independant Fabrications titanium Deluxe with full XTR and 29" wheels.

2001 Giant OCR 1

1999 LeMond Zurich (yeah, the year with the ugly paint job)
|
Dude.
You guys have some hella nice road bikes   |
2001 Giant Cypress DX is my baby and in the basement is a Huffy Mounatin Bike for when I just have to ride in the rain and mud. I also have this old school Univega Road Bike that I got for $20.00 that I used to leave locked up downtown for local errands.

My TT rig. I haven't used this for quite a while, and I no longer have wheels for it. I took these of my roadbike for the photo. It used to have an Omega 28h v rim (tubular) on the front and a Zipp 950 disk rear.

I wanted a bike for road and rail trail riding. The 2001 Cannondale XS 800 fit the bill admirably. It's been two years and I've yet to see anything I'd rather own.

I saw some really nice bikes in this thread and a few garage sale beauties. This is an internet photo off their web site of the same kind of bike I bought last sunday 3/23. I did do three commutes on it this week, feels like a Hummer but costs less.

Here we go, laddies. This is the new lemond. dead sexy, eh? Its an '02, which was 300 bucks less then the 03, so went for it. the main difference is that it has a curved carbon fork instead of a straight blade fork.
|
Here is my new road bike. The picture was taken before I cut the steerer tube, and with the seat and pedals from my MT bike. It's a Mongoose Pro Titanium with all Ultegra. That’s a Look HSC 3 all carbon fork. I Bought the frame from http://www.titaniumsports.com/ the build kit from GVH bikes and the fork from Total Cycling. Total cost was about $1770. About $2000 to $3000 less than a similar bike from Lightspeed or other manufactures .
Rides really nice, as comfortable as my Ti soft tail MT bike. |
