My race ride is a Trek 5200 upgraded with Dura Ace (the ultegra is going on an old steel KHS to turn it into a bomb about town)

My infrequent forays into the rocks and dirt brings the Gary Fisher Tessahara out....

I ride a TreK Navigatior 2000 (year 2000). A very modest bike. I doesn't go very fast but then I like to look at scenery. It's mostly meant to ride on city bike trails which is what I use it for. I bought it mostly for exercise because I suffered an injury several years ago and could no longer go running or play tennis. I made a good choice for a beginner's bike and it was only $300 when I bough it.

2002 Terry madeline that has lots of low gears so that I can tackle the many miles of hill around my house. I just got back from a great ride; 12 miles and about 8.5 was uphill. It was perfect conditions except for a bit of a head wind. I feel great and can't wait to go out again. Maybe tomorrow morning. There is no such thing as n easy ride around my house. If I want to go on the flat then I commute to the Erie Canal Path.

I finally broke down and got me a decent ride. I actually got it in march and really enjoy riding it. What a difference a real bike makes.

2003 Specialized Allez Elite, we changed the crankset went with the 172's and a longer stem.

But it is soo sweet compaired to the wal mart special I rode on all last year....

I LIKE IT ALOT... :)

Wow ive read 5 pages before i gave up. as i only noticed 3 maybe 4 brand names i knew. i have a Wallie World Moongoose mountian bike but im to fat to comfortably ride it very far. i have plans for it though.
The bike i have been riding the last couple days as i just got it for the most part done. was an old huffy with another piece of another huffy attached and a 20 inch murry front wheel. if you cant tell its a junk bike made from junk bikes but its comfortable. just what i need to get my fat arse into shape. still waiting on a few things to make it ready for my hopfully daily 4 mile round trips to work and back. going to take me a while to get to that point but thats my goal i orderd a stronger rear axle as my fat arse bent the other so it has a slight wabble as i roll around the road. and i need to come up with some better brakes as the cheapy caliper brakes just dont work and i might need a new pair of sandles soon if i dont do something. the front fork loks big enough to be able to drill holes through to add cantilever type brakes but the rear im going to have think about a little as the metal is to small.
The moongoose is going to become a bent soon also, for my wife as i made mine to short for her to use. ( fat and short legs not sure what the good Lord had in mind for me) for now im tinkering around with a little 20 inch murry and huffy to make a bent for my little girl as she wont stop pestering me about wanting one, but if it gets her out and doing stuff so she dont end up like me im all for it .
I feel a little goofy adding my home grown junk pile to this list of names ( some im sure im not pronouncing right) but once i got it together and some new tires on it so it would roll instead of making me peddle for ever inch. its fun and comfortable reminds me of when i was younger and on my bike just going with the wind in my face, bug or two in my teeth and just having fun
cya

Keep riding and two things will change: 4 miles will not be a lot, and you will be under 300 pounds.:)

Had an old Gary Fischer Hoo Koo E koo - God, i loved that bike. Pearly green with yellow shocks - so nice looking. Then it was stolen and I thought I'd never find another.
But then i got a Cannondale M1000 and we have lot's of fun- it's not quite as stylish but i ride it everywhere and it feels great. Still miss my Hoo Koo though....

Simple, streamlined, like it.

Geometry looks a bit off though. ;)

And where's the chain?!?!
