Unique/fun/strange Helmets?

Are there any funny helmets out there?

Is www.nutcase.com the best we have available?

Yakkay has helmets that look like normal hats, but I'm looking for a loud, weird, and funny helmet.

That's storm trooper/"what ever the dudes on the flying motorcycles were called" helmet. https://www.lazerhelmets.com/en/cycli...s/urbanize.php

Not very funny, unless you are a Star Wars fan I guess.

Note that hardhats aren't certified as bicycle helmets. They are meant to protect your head from small items dropped on it, not from impact with large items. That's why they have fairly small contact areas with your head.

Try looking for "Helmet covers". Some time back, I was able to find several sites offering helmet covers rather than just helmets.

I've seen several people at centuries doing the Sheldon Brown, setting flags, or smurfs, or whatever, on top.

Bikes: in my sig line

I bought a white BMX-type of helmet, scraped the original stickers off, and stuck some Washington Capitals helmet stickers on it so it looks like a hockey helmet. Complete with 8 on the back.

Your link went to something called "yeah.com."

I'm not sure why I was doing the "zombie walk" when the pic was taken but the mistletoe did get me some smooches @ the x-mas ride.

edit: oops, forgot to post the pic.

I have a pair of silver wings I wear on my helmet when I do MS fundraising rides. I've done a total of 19 since 1995, the running total I have raised is just a little under 25k. Many people have positive comments "Nice wings, Do they help" as they fly by me like I'm standing still. I never really tell anybody why I wear the wings. Sounds kind of corny but there's a line from the Bette Middler song wind beneath my wings "I can fly higher than an eagle, if you are the wind beneath my wings. My wife is my wind, I do the pedaling but she is the driving force that carries me to the finish line. She was diagnosed with MS 1990, it's a horrible thing to watch someone's health decline from a major illness.

Some helmet covers below. And yes, they tend to be for kids. For some reason, adults that think nothing of dressing in rainbow colored spandex with a bowl on their head draw the line at wearing a monkey hat. Anyway:

For the second time in two weeks, that's the wrong URL (I don't know who misposted it before).
https://www.nutcasehelmets.com/Pages/index.aspx

Besides the few store-bought silly helmets and the homemade ones, there's Cycle Chic's fashionable line:
https://www.cyclechic.co.uk/shop/helmets-c-22.html

I suspect that funny, unique designs are rare because they'd still have to go through the same testing process as all the others. I don't think that many helmet manufacturers are willing to create Viking horns that pass crash tests.

I find that a Santa hat ziptied to my helmet during the holidays helps motorists to notice me in a positive way, and it makes my helmet warmer.

Maybe it's out of respect for real Viking helmets. Real Viking helmets never had horns in the first place.
