Sore Toe! :(
Hi there,
Can anyone suggest a remedy for a very sore toe only when cycling? its the 1st toe in from my big toe on my left foot - after about 5k it gets excruciatingly sore and I have to get off my bike and massage toe for a while and do this repeatedly on long cycles - have a big 160K cycle in a week and could do with some helpful advice please?
Thanks,
Corkkazz

Are you using toe clips?

Move your cleats back? Or, if you have toe clips, get bigger cages so your feet can go onto the pedals further. (You'll have to readjust your saddle height.)
You sure it's only when you're cycling? Sore big toe can also be gout, usually in the first joint, at the base of the big toe.

some things to try: trim the nail; cushy socks; roomier shoe; shoes with rigid soles (stiff) as opposed to sneakers which are very bendy
