Sizing Dilemma

Hello All,

I want to buy a Ridley Orion.
The problem is, I am between sizes in their bikes.

The right fit for me is with the effective top tube (ETT) of 53.5

Ridley's XS is 52.5, the Small is 54.5

Would it be better to go with a XS and put a longer stem on it, or with a Small with a shorter stem

I usually ride 30 miles with flats and some pretty steep hills.

Thanks in advance

get the small if you race / like a more aggressive position

if you are more upright on your bike, the larger bike's taller headtube may be more comfortable.
