I'll stick with the local name/pronunciation, as long as it's commonly accepted, right or wrong.

I used to get funny looks at the LBS here, and then go into shock over prices. The solution was simple: I import my own stuff and sell it cheap on the net. Now I only go into the LBS to get pricing info. The ony exception is a small bicycle/model train shop run out of a store front built into the front of a house. If I can give them any business, I usually do.

Right, just like Bianchi - they are Italian words and should be pronounced like the Italians would pronounce them (or as close to it as we can).
And I'll just emphasize that the "c" is a "ch" sound, not a "s" sound.

Don't forget about "allez" = a-lay (meaning: "you go", or more of a command: "Go!")

True, in Italian, the c can have a ch sound, but only if followed by an e or an i (eg: Veloce, Arrivederci, etc)
The ch combo has a hard k sound (eg: Bianchi, Chianti, etc)

This might already be known on BF as this thread has been silent for a while, but check out www.forvo.com

How about
MAFAC
and
Miche?
I use, pretty exclusively, MAFAC Competition brakes. It'd be nice to know if my pronunciation of [Mah' fahc] is correct or if it gets the long A.
I have a co-worker who will be mangling how things are said. He manages to mispronounce the fi'zi:k brand on a daily basis; and I have to keep reminding him that there's no 'e' in Nuovo.

These are just my thoughts. I may or may not be right. Ironically, the one I was least sure of is Sram. But I may be wrong about all of them.
