I wish I had pictures of my old roommates attempt at a DIY trailer. 4 narrow dimension and rotted pieces of fencing wood for a frame with chicken wire in between and casters for wheels. The whole thing was held together by duct tape. Every single component was completely failing at its most basic task. The frame snapped just being handled. The chicken wire sagged to the asphalt across a wide area. The casters attached with duct tape as they were couldn't support any weight or even movement without losing their orientation to the ground. He never figured out an equally ineffective way to attach the trailer to the bike. I suggested dental floss in trying to keep with the trailer's generally under-engineered aesthetic.
He left his almost finished trailer sitting in the yard. I showed it to visitors and usually had to explain the design before people realized that it was in fact supposed to be a bike trailer and not just a heap of scrap.
