Mrs Grouch and I own a pair of Kettweisel trikes. Since only the right rear wheel is driven, we've had some situations in which we've either lost traction or had too much torque steer. The good news that Hase has a differential kit that solves the problem. The bad news is that the kits are around $800 each. I think that I'm going to get a pair of them over the winter anyway.

I rode the last month of my bike's life with a tire that has the plastic under the tread poking through. I promised myself I would get a new set of tires when the current tires were worn down, but still never got around to it. I only had one flat over the second half of the summer, and that is when I noticed the orange spots poking through.

Then, before I got around to changing the tires, the frame cracked at the driveside chain stay. I have a replacement frame, but I have been waiting for more than a month to put all the parts on it. The old frame has been sawed up and is currently being used for training of NDE professionals, and as a couple of homemade tools for my workshop.

Also, on my mountain bike, my suspension fork kicked the bucket two years ago and so I have been riding it full rigid, all the while planning to put on a new suspension fork at some undefined point in the future.

Off-topic. Be careful with those chinese power packs. They are often built VERY cheaply and VERY dangerously. I wouldn't trust my $300+ device to one of them. Not only can they easily catch on fire, but there is the potential to deliver higher than normal voltages to your device as well. In a harsh environment such as a bike (bumpy), I doubt they would last very long.

Where to start:

Need to lace up some new wheels for Bianchi (necessitates actually taking the time to buy rims, spokes, etc), and complete conversion into gravel grinder.

Need to strip down old Kona, get last winter out of it, lube, tune, decide if I want to sell or not. If not, mount rear rack and swap chain rings. Will probably keep it just to see if the thing ever disintegrates. It has had a hard life, but still going strong.

Handlebar bag and front rack for touring bike -- can't make up my mind if I want to go with a Jannd front rack to match rear, rack will help decide bags and baggage.

Mount cycle computer to touring bike. My project for this afternoon.

Strip the %^$& stupid fenders off the 29"er that I kludged on to get me work without getting soaked last spring. Figure out if I keep it for single track or sell it off. Probably sell it off... don't do enough single track to justify, and really want to look into a Salsa Fargo, which would better suite my needs, and could likely replace both the 29"er and the Bianchi mentioned above. I need to thin the herd a bit.

Have a '72ish Raleigh 3-speed at the shop I need to bring home, strip down, clean, adjust, and decide if I keep, or if it also goes away. Was going to be my winter shop project, but too many clients to get time to work on it.

Wrap the cables on the fattie with some bar-tape where they are eating the paint.

I'm sure there are about 10 gazillion other things I'm missing, but that is the short list.
