20 in, in about 30 minutes riding out to Easton mall to a Roll Bike shop event, showing off new bikes and gear and what not - http://bit.ly/30Ivi2 - then riding home!
|
1.25 hours riding cross in Regan Park. Maybe 11 miles?
|
Some tricks in the bike shop as usual. That's all the riding I get to do anymore.
|

The roll event was so cool..... so many HOT BMCs, Niners, Independent Fabrication, Giant, Colnago, and Stan Ridge bikes... Then I just HAMMERED home, practically a pointless 12 mile TT from the bike shop!
lol Pics.....MUST HAVE PICS ! |
I still need to stop by Roll sometime.
|
Well, I rode there from work so I only had my phone... I did twitpic one photo of my bike's frame, but the newer model and still in the same colours!
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/3258/youngclem.jpg My bike was leaned up against the wall between a handmade Stan Ridge steel racer and the new BMC that Hincapie/Evan/etc will be riding (the thing is ridiculous). I was the only guy "dressed up", even rocked my BMC jersey! Everyone else was wearing their Civvies (boo!). Not a fan of the Colnagos, and the Chorus feels so weird in your hands, but they had a new steel Colnago frame, super vintage style, up on display. Very cool. |
11/7 52 miles on the wheelmen Sat. morning ride. Saw lots of folks out on bikes, beuatiful fall morning, well, except for the wind. Local airport reported mostly 15mph gusting 25mph out of SW for the whole ride. That unfortunatly makes it almost a constent cross wind, Ohboy!!
|
41 miles out to Lakewood and back.....Nice temps but not so nice winds.
|
11/7, 49 miles
Birthday ride, a mile for each year. Quite windy (20ish mph) here as well. Hopefully tomorrow will be calmer, I'd like to ride out west to Seneca. Cheers. |
I rode to work today, just like the rest of the week. Three miles one way.
|
11/8 34 miles, left my house at 5:10am (you saw that right AM). You want the world and roads to yourself ride at 5 am Sunday morning. Although it was chilly, it was quite serene, and a little spooky!
|
55 BEE-UH-YOO-TEE-FULL miles from New Albany to Granville & back...... perfect.
|
20 mile commute
|
11/08, 76 miles
Made the ride out to Seneca. Perfect day. Cheers. |
I rode my cross bike on the single track at Regan Park.
After taking a lap on the cross bike I switched to my full suspension mountain bike, it felt like going from a model T to a new luxury car! Does anyone know if there is a cross course at Regan Park? I couldn't find one. |
Happy birthday KDGrills! :bday:
49 miles today Oberlin to New London, headwind on the way down, tailwind on the way back, love it when it works out like that:thumb: |
11/8 ride #2 for the day, 27 miles, bonus ride!
Afterwards we went to see the North East Ohio Regional High School ochestra, a select group of the finast orchestra talent in this part of Ohio, of which are son was selected to play. He is a cellist and a very good one, they played Shostakovich's 5th symphony and all I can say is WOW!! We don't hear enough about kids like this, it's allways headlines for the trouble makers, how sad! These are the leaders of tommorrow and we should salute such hard work as they do! Little shameless self promotion, sorry! I am proud of my kids though. |

61 miles today. At one point I came up to a pack of motorcycle riders at a red light. One looks over and wants to race to the next light. A woman says "I'll get you a rope!". I say "All I need is your draft, so sure.
They take off, they're in the left lane, so I had to sprint hard to get in their air, but when I did, I moved up through them and gave each a smug smile. Eventually I drift back a little, still holding the draft and doing 41 mph. When we come close to the next light (it's green, BTW) I hit the pedals really hard and came around them. When I got into the still air, it felt like I hit a brick wall, but I hammered really hard and threw my bike across the crosswalk. First. I looked over and the motorcycle guys were laughing their damn heads off. It was pretty cool. I began to look like death and didn't want them to watch me puke, so I gave them the thumbs up looking like a zombie and they rode off. Mitch:1 Bikers:0 |
