Cannondale Quick vs Bad Boy Sizes/geometry
Have a 2010 Quick 5 in Jumbo (ain't that a tactless name for a bike size?) that I like just fine, but it's a touch too big. An XL in the same bike would be just right.
Looking at an older (2006) Bad Boy Ultra in XL, BUT, while the Quick was available in sm, med, lg, xl and jumbo, the badboy was available in petite, sm, med, lg and xl.
In short, I'm thinking that the XL bad boy may well be about the same size as a Quick jumbo, as they were respectively the largest available in each model.
Can't find detailed size/geometry specs for that year Bad Boy; are current BB's sized the same? (petite has gone away; XL still largest size) and while sitting on it is the obvious answer, it's located about 2.5 hours away, and I'd like to spare myself an unnecessary trip.
Any help on this, as well as any other thoughts on Quick vs Bad Boy would be greatly appreciated.
I ride almost exclusively on the road and paved bike paths. Off-road limited to hard pack and grass.
Thanks!

My '05 and '09 L BBU's are exactly the same size. This has the geo charts at the end:

I have both, the main differences are the tire width which can easily be changed and more importantly the front crank gearing. The bad boy has lower teeth in the front so your low end is speedier with more options but your top end speed is lower. the quick is the opposite as the high gear is higher so your low end speed suffers but you get a better high end speed. The bad boy is meant for the city with block to block stops while the quick is meant for a bit more of an open road. If i were you i would get the quick as the low end is good enough for block to block stops.
In fact I'm debating changing the high gear to a fifty tooth till match road bikes.

Thanks, all. It seems that the specs haven't changed from 2006 to present and the XL Bad Boy, while not identical in all dimensions, is indeed pretty much as big as the Jumbo Quick.
Hadn't considered the gearing questions and no doubt my riding is more suited to the Quick than the BB. On reflection, I'd just as soon pass on the front suspension, too.
"However, if the Quick rides too big a different stem and seat adjustment could get you a better fit. And cost a lot less."
Already done so, and cockpit is actually just fine. Standover, while not the be-all and end-all, is a bit, um, precarious. I can stand over it without tiptoeing, but just barely. One of these days I'm going to leap down in a hurry with my knees flexed and...
My new target is a Quick 3, 2012 or earlier in XL. Or maybe a pre-20 speed 7.5 FX

Bikes: 2016 Giant Fastroad CoMax 2, 2002 Jamis Tangier, Classic Nakamichi 10 speed.
I think this picture could help you. What you are seeing is a 2015 Giant Fastroad standing next to a 2002 Jamis Tangier. Please note the garage door and the lines in the door. Then note the handlebar and seat heights. I adjusted the Jamis 13 years ago. I adjusted the new Giant last week.
The moral to the story is the frame size gets you in the ballpark but you are still going to need to adjust many things before your bike will feel right.
If you look at this picture carefully you may never realize these two bikes are within one inch on every dimension I have measured.

Yep. You can do all kinds of tricks with seat height, reach, seat to bars height ratio...but you cain't do a dang thang with standover, and while I love the bike and have it set up to suit me fine in the cockpit, one of these days I woudn't mind eschewing the threat, however slight, to generations unborn.
