Jamis Coda comp

I have been offered a Jamis coda comp 2010 model without rear wheels and rear derauiler and may be damaged front wheels for 200$. This will be my first experience with a bike after 10 years. I have read the weakest part in Coda comp are their wheels. Is it worth it? What type of expense am I looking to fit it with a decent/upgraded wheel and deruiler that will be at least in par with original one or even better.
Any help appreciated.

i my area i see complete coda's for under 300, so no i would not consider 200 a good price. if there is wheel damage there could be frame damage to.

If the rest of the bike is in clean condition, it might be interesting, but maybe a better deal at $150.

It looks like the 2010 Coda Comp was spec'd nicer than the current Coda Comp. You can get a rear wheel for $100 or less. You can find an acceptable 9 speed rear derailleur for $30 to $40 for Alivio, or $50 if you want Deore. Of course, you will need a new tire.

Still, might be a good idea to have a bike mechanic take a look at it, if possible. Any sense of why it is missing a back wheel and rear derailleur?

Thanks guys. The model is either 2011 or 2012 ,sorry a misunderstanding.
I will try for $150.It seems like the rear wheel was stolen and in the attempt damaged the derailleur. at least that is the story. Any recommendation for wheels? How much service charges ( ball park) are we looking at?

Sounds a bit odd to me. I'd suggest you are being offered a stolen bike -- by the thief (or associate), not the victim.
