75 lbs sounds pretty good. I guess with lighter loads you would hardly even notice it's there. I wonder if a baby carrier would fit in it.

Yes, you hardly notice it's there, except when empty you hear some clatter as in bounces on cracks in the pavement and pot holes, etc. It comes with a warning not to carry children or pets with it.

warning labels are written to be ignored. i'd totally strap my kid to one of those while he's holding onto a puppy and a goldfish

Haha, yeah. I've carried five children a few hundred feet in the one pictured below. Not my own children of course, some urchins living on my block.
Sorry to be posting the same bikes over and over again, but the trailer seemed to generate some interest, so here's a picture of my other hybrid and my other trailer. Picking up this morning's mail. I didn't realize I had a flat until after I took this picture.
Keep those cards and letters coming, I really do appreciate them. While I don't have time to answer all of them personally, I do read each and every one.

There is a postal facility where the house that Duke Ellington was born in used to be. Close-up of the plaque in the previous picture.

Here's our coverted MTB hybrid's for more "MUP-Trail and Road riding". The only thing I don't like is the "wonky" looking Full Suspension MTB front fender, but so far I haven't found any normal/thinner fender that will work, RATS!! BTW, the tires aren't whitewall's, it's a "reflective" stripe in the tires" that really increased in size with the use of a FLASH for the indoor photo! (Orginally, Jamis Trail-X 1.0 and 3.0 Hardtail MTB's)

Saddle Up, that is a beautiful beautiful ride, I really like how simple the handlebars are, which adds to the simpleness of the single speed.

Saddle Up: is that a custom build with the Soulville frame, or did you get the complete bike and convert it to fixed gear? Very nice clean ride, I'd be interested to know what components are on it.
EDIT: NM, scroll wheel works great...

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I thought hybrid probably best describes it. With the 700/42 tires and the long wheel base this thing steam rolls.
TwoHeads I've just changed tires and cockpit components, for today anyway. This was the bike a few days ago. I like it more now.

Holy crap!!!! I'm pretty sure I saw you the other day (I think maybe wedesday?) at the Cheshire Stop & Shop. I definitely saw a guy on a Cypress with trekking bars, and I'm pretty sure I saw a Brooks saddle on the thing. I wanted to say something (it's exactly how I had my TranSend set up) but I saw you had headphones in.
Too funny.
If you need a riding partner at some point, let me know. I live in Hamden, right next to the Canal Trail, and ride to work in Waterbury nearly every day, so I pass right through Cheshire.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
The Masi looks suhweet !
qm - I like the B.A.W. ladder type trailers a great deal as they can carry so much stuff and because they are so stable.
Bob trailers are great when you use them as they were intended but if I could have only one trailer I'd want a shortened version of the standard B.A.W.

I liked it better as a mountain bike than as a delivery bike, I prefer recreational riding to utility riding.
Very cute bike in both outfits though.

I have been seeing so many bike messengers on hybrids lately and many of them have adjustable stems installed... They ride soooo upright and it looks really comfy..... im considering getting one for my 7.7.... i know it'll slow me down but it also looks like the seating and back positioning would be farrr more comfortable...

My friend brought an FX in the spring. He loves the bike. He used to ride on an old Mongoose mtn bike. The FX made him feel like he was flying.
After the initial thrill died down, he complained about wrist & back pain (just like he did on the Mongoose). He has a bad lower back. It wasn't as bad as the Mongoose, but it was something that was there that bothered him. He said "this would be the world's perfect bike if I didn't experience any of these pains".
The LBS checked his fit and said he was fine. They suggested an adjustable stem where he can dial in his position so his wrist doesn't hurt.
He brought the stem. After playing around with it for a month, he found the sweet spot. Now....he loves the bike and rides it a few times a week...(compared to just once a week w/o the stem.....and compare that to riding a few times a year on the Mongoose).
Comfort makes a huge difference. If you're comfortable on a bike (meaning, your butt, neck, arms, wrists doesn't hurt after a ride), you'll tend to ride more.
