EDIT..I just saw the specs on the other page. Open Corsa are the best tyres I've ever used. I used to race on them, on my spinergys.

Every single time I see a picture of your bike, it seems that it gets better looking. That bike really is the nicest hybrid on bf... What the aussie (oops just noticed you are an aussie too) is saying is not just flattery, it is a lot of truth. Beautiful machine there!

You gonna eat that?
Here's my hybrid (in the foreground) doing its job, carrying me to work on Friday. I had to stop and get a pic of the beautiful daybreak.

Yes, they are Ergons. Very comfortable and the barends make my 25 mile one way commute much more tolerable.
Sorry Spookeay Bird, I don't follow. What is the faster way to break in a brooks that you have to be careful with?

Thanks mate and no I don't race it but I think it's certainly possible but I,m nudging 42 years now and pushing more from my body is only getting harder.
Plus I've got quite a serious back injury, cycling seems the best exercise I can do without upsetting thing as long as I don't go to hard and I've tried everything short of spinal fusion.
This is how I feel now
Now that I dont work at night anymore I don't commute any more so I see it as a high performance fitness bike.
So right now I just pick a ride destination I like and ride after work.
If I was healthier I,d love to try time trialing but right now I'd need to stop for a stretch all the time.

New guy here Somebody said a few pages back, that no one would look through all these pages, especially if someone wasn't a member... well I looked thru all 128 pages here, on my smartphone... it took me like 8 days to do it, a hour or so at a time! A lot of you guys are killing me with your very fine machines... I thought I'd post a couple pics of my bike, a 2010 Specialized Crosstrail. I changed the tires to Specialized 28c Nimbus tires, flipped the stem, (after these photos were taken) added bar ends which I love, Ergon grips, lights fore and aft, seat bag.

Read and see this topiс for a few months. Some Hybrides are beautiful, some - are so nice, some - are hi-tech... wow...so different.
Actually, I have a few bikes, but my favourite and universal (all-my-purposal) is 28".
So, that`s my hybride (in summer-season setup):

Here's a pic I took this afternoon. It was 70 degrees and sunny today. I rode a couple of hours on my new tires. Then I was ready for some Colorado Cool Aid; my home town brew.
