Went down to where they're constructing new docks. I'm amazed at how long the sea walls are...pile driving @ least 50 feet.

You can see one of the, I'm guessing, construction office trailers flatten from Issac.

Just on the other side they're dredging a brand new area (we call slips) for docks.

Did another ride along the Torrens River through the city then went the opposite direction along the coast to Port Adelaide. I tried to get some pic's of a navy submarine where they build them but couldn't get close enough.

They started doing this as I arrived, maybe they liked my bike.

Yes spring is here, the best time to ride of the year with all the flowers blooming and good temps. Thanks for the idea to visit the ports I got some good pic's there.

Johnread, how's the Arabia Mountain trail system? Is it fairly flat? My wife wants to go check out the PATH paths down there and around Panola and the South River, but just can't do much in the way of hills.

I went on a 46km ride on my Trek FX 7.3 along the waterfront. We are having an unusually warm and dry Sept. so I'm getting out whenever I can. Karen

After healing bruised/seperated ribs and shoulder, I am now strong enough to ride again.

18+ miles Monday. Laps around the Wards Island loop, twice over the Triboro bridge. Feeling strong but slow.

I was super wiped from the ride, sad to see how out of shape I was.

I created montages with music for my 5 Boro Bike Tour footage.

Latest blog post has videos embedded....

If the weather permits, I will ride to Governors Island for the first time tomorrow.

Homechicken,

Sorry to take so long to reply. The Arabia Mountain Trail is beautiful but is quite hilly. Riding just about any section of the trail is definitely a workout, and a great way to burn some calories while enjoying some great natural scenery. I have not taken my wife on it yet because her knee surgery earlier in the year would make it difficult to handle the hills. When we go out together, we are more apt to ride on the Silver Comet Trail in the Smyrna/Powder Springs area.

You can check them both out here: https://pathfoundation.org

Went for a little cruise before I got on shift. I didn't realize at the time but she was about to be lowered back in the water. Got back from my ride and she was ready to sail.
