2007 Trek 7500 How Do I Lock Front Suspension?

My son just purchased a like new 2007 Trek 7500. The product details I have found online says
"RST TR FREE SL w/ preload, lockout, 60mm". The mention of "lockout" leads me to believe it can be locked out.
Other info I have found says "mechanical lockout".

I would appreciate any info on how to lock the shocks. We have no problem adjusting the shocks.
There is a knob just above the left shock.

If anyone could point me to a manual for this bike that would also be appreciated. I have found a few that are not very specific to this actual bike.

Thanks

There should be a small lever on the right side of the fork crown, opposite the adjustment knob.

Thanks, but it's not there on the 2007. I'll take a picture of the forks later and attach it. I'm beginning to think the info is incorrect.

Here are the iamges as promised. Sorry for the blur. I took them with my Droid and forgot to clean the lens.

I have looked everywhere for a lever or even an screw or bolt that would lock it out.
FYI: We purchased the bike Saturday morning and it has been ridden about a hundred miles in four days. Thus the very dirty fork and tires My 16 yo son was struggling to keep up with me on his old bike which was a Mongoose Mt Bike. The 7500 has him on my rear tire if not in front of me much of the time now. Great bike. I'm riding my 1986 Raleigh Touring 18. Since we are primarily riding paved trails and on the road. I would really like to lock down his front suspension and put some 28's on the rims.

Thanks for any assistance.

I think what you've got there is actually the 2005 model 7500, with a Rock Shox Metro fork. Unfortunately, there is no lockout.

Yep - Looks like you are right. The bike was sold as a 2007 and not a 2005. It was in like new condition. The guy had two identical bikes that belonged to his parents (?). Both had the tits on the tires. I got it for $250 so I'm not too miffed, but I may give him a call just to see what his response will be. The 05 and 07 look nearly identical in the literature. https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/2005/archive/7500 and https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/2007/archive/7500. I see minor differences. The locking suspension is one. Either way - my son is is extremely happy - so I will be too.

Thank you for your replies.
