I'm so very over the ISP thing. I imagine that in a decade we'll look back on them the way we look at scott drop-ins now.

Giant makes great bikes. 9070, wow, that's quite the upgrade. What would you do for a power meter?

Sorting out the cranks now. It's "BB86", which uses press-fit bearings that end up in exactly the same place spatially as they do with threaded BSA. So either Shimano or SRAM GXP SRM will fit, and I'm reading to ensure there are no compatibility issues with the 9070 FD or the narrower chain. From what I've read so far, I don't think there are, but there isn't that much of it out there yet getting real world testing. The crank coming with the bike is that new 4 bolt spec that uses a smaller BCD even with standard sized rings. I need that to work with my threaded BB TT bike, unless I stay with GXP, which is what I have now. I have both a Force and a Rival GXP cranksets I use if the PM isn't on a bike. If I go GXP I can eBay the 9070 crank. Actually the shop owner is so great, he takes parts like that back and handles the eBay sale, crediting you for what he believes he will get. I think I just convinced myself to go GXP, but I need to continue my reading. WIth something that new, staying all Shimano may have merit.

Thanks Shovel...
I'm having difficulty determining whether 10sp chainrings will work with the 11 speed chain.
My life would be simpler if I had a PM for my TT bike and didn't have to swap things around, but the wallet would be thinner.

A. "people on forums" say they've run 10sp rings with the 11sp FD and chains and they have worked fine.
B. Stages Cycling (makers of the crank-arm based PM) says an 11sp crankset will work with 7900 drivetrain (which should mean Ultegra as well) so long as you use the 11sp chain.
For once, the internet has a scarcity of data on a topic. Shimano of course just says they all aren't compatible.
SRM doesn't have that unit you posted available in their online shop yet, Shovel, but I'll be checking with a dealer I know. It was shown at Interbike, so I'm sure it's shipping.

Is there such a thing as a BB30 crank based power meter?

If you gotta swap, then I'd go 6770 and take the money you saved over 9770 and buy a second set for the TT bike.

Latest Giant with Di2? Sounds good to me.
BB30 (actually PF30) is definitely < threaded BB IMHO. However, having invested in a Hollowgram SRM unit for my EVO I also had to invest $40 in Loctite products to securely install the bearing cups per the Cannondale manual. The specific Loctite stuff was obscure enough that I could not source it locally. One tube of stuff arrived yesterday. Hopefully the other stuff will arrive by Saturday so that I can put my bike together for a race on Sunday.
Threaded BBs are so much easier and I'm a lot more confident in their alignment.

One of the attractive features of the Felt AR. And if you want, you can chase and face a threaded BB to ensure perfect alignment. I must say though, that my Trek BB90's didn't squeak. They were direct bearing metal to the chassis, and I put together a homemade press to install them. I used a piece of quarter round wood and a rubber mallet to remove them. The systems that have softer plastic around the bearing, designed to allow less precise frame manufacturing, are the ones most prone to squeaking. People are using Loctite (641?) even if it isn't called for. Campy calls for it.
