If you have one great dog in your life you're lucky. I've had several. Watching one well into her twilight years right now. She's at the point where we joke about her looking at us and saying "you look like nice people...would you mind grabbing my dinner?"

She's got major OD (Old Dog). But dammit, she's still here and we'll work around that.

Never again on any Kinlin. Even the new wide one that gets "OK" reviews isn't worth a chance. To be honest, my best luck was with a set of American Classic hubs, DT double butted spokes, and Velocity Fusion rims. Though, with 16-17K on those rims, I'm going to replace them with the wide Pacenti that's out now. 28 and 24 hole rims work just fine, and that setup should be OK for a while.

I am also sold on Reynolds wheels as my Assaults were bent badly enough to hit the stays. A few stretches spokes replaced, and the rims checked carefully, and all is well.

We are Shar Pei people. Course, everyone thinks their dog is the best ever, myself included. Can't imagine a home without one or two of the little rascals.

Had a follow up with the doc this week. X-rays looked fine, and it's still a "wait and see" on the biceps. I may be hallucinating, but yesterday it seemed like there just might be some biceps involvement in some of my arm movement. It's hard to differentiate between use of the biceps itself, and having the surrounding muscles picking up the slack (left forearm getting bigger and bigger). But I think I feel a bit of tension on the biceps tendon, where it enters the elbow, when I try to use the biceps in a certain way. Time will tell.

Taking the TT bike in for crash repair today, since I don't want to mess with it one-handed. When I get that back, I'll move the SRM crank over to the race road bike and see how things feel in the lower position. My 6'7" step-son is riding some around the college campus on an old ill-fitting MTB, and I may give him the Gunnar. Mountain bikes on the road violate my sensibilities. It's like driving kids to school in a 4 wheel drive SUV.

AzTR, glad to hear there's some progress. Hope you're back to full strength soon, sans surgery.

We were Shar Pei parents of two for a total of 15 years. If we ever get more dogs Shar Pei will be at least one of them. Every other breed looks strange once you get attached to the wrinkled ones,
