2002 Cannondale Jekyll 600 with fatty headshok. Headshok is leaking. Just purchased Rock Shok with 1 1/8" straight steerer. What do I need to make this work? Please be detailed. I know I need a reducer and headset but what exactly do I need to buy. I'm a little new and doing all work myself. I seen so much info my head is spinning.

You said you have an 02 Jekyll 600 headshok. So looking in the table in that link and moving right to the 1 1/8" straight fork, I get this:

Now comes the fun part. You can either rig up some washers and nuts on a huge lag bolt to press out your current headset and press in the new, or you can take it to a local bike shop you trust and it should be $20 or less. (It will take them 5 minutes.) If you want to do the lag bolt, google that. Many people have done it. Alignment is the biggest issue -- pretty easy to get something cocked.

Here is a perfect example of why we should,, 'Support our Local Bike Shop's'

They have this special tool to knock the thing out and seat one back In.

Pay them and ask to watch how they do it. Then have them order you the tool they used. You will have it and know how to use it for the next time.

Ghetto methods (threaded rod/washers, pipe clamp/large sockets, etc.) work fine - - in the hands of someone with mechanical aptitude and a LOT of confidence. Otherwise, have the shop do it.

Yeah $75 for a park ,, I didn't think that was bad for a bike addict like me. Use it four times and it's paid for.

^^I was talking the HHP-2. I would go with a home-built before spending money on the HHP-3 - - which is basically a glorified home-built.
